    Bendigo Victoria information and questions

Jump on geovic online, drag the cursor to make a square over an area you are interested in then add layers for minerals, leads and workings, this will give you heaps of info, spend 30 mins here will save you hours in the field, good luck

Best spots in Australia for alluvial gold

Give Eldorado a crack, not too far from you and you'll always find a bit if your willing to put in a bit of walking and hard work, but I'd definitely put in a bit of your own research before you head off, best of luck, one thing I would advise is spend time learning about where gold will most...

Wanting to buy Coiltek elite "11"

Have to agree, I used to have a sadie coil until some dirt bag stole it, but didn't bother buying another one after using the elite, I'm finding very small bits the same size as my sdc picks up

Web sites for soil depth surveys

Hi all, just wondering if there are web sites to use that can tell you how deep or shallow the over burden is in a particular area so you can narrow down detectable areas and if so what am I looking for in the search, should I be punching in satellite image data, or geo whateveryoucallit...

    SDC2300 Batteries and Chargers

Just a note on the sdc and its batteries, make sure you put a couple of layers of electrical tape around them so they fit a little more snugly otherwise the unit can shutdown sometimes while you're using it

    Who shares nugget finding sites

If somebody asks me I'm happy to pint them in the right direction, especially if it's a real newbie, I know how hard it is trying to find your first nugget, the thing is just because you put them in right area doesn't mean they are going to find it but at least you're giving them a chance to...

    Rock formation

It's all through that area, I was wondering if it has any relation to gold in the area, or is it just a coincidence, they all seem to run in the same direction, there is definitely some erosion happening and if that's the case then the soil must be shallow if the Rock is exposed, however that...

    Rock formation

Hi all, went out for a drive around Daylesford, Newstead Castlemaine area and noticed formations of rock running up and over hills etc. they were all running in straight lines in various locations, some places 7-8 lines wide, not sure what type of rock they were, if you've driven from Daylesford...
