And to top the weekend off, the 2 biggest finds were walking back to the car Sunday evening to pack up and head home.
gold angels were shining on me for sure.
Favourite find has been this gun powder flask 2&1/2 down near diggings with the missus using SDC.
Thought it was an old VB can at first due to the green that was on it.
Cleaned up ok but missing top bit.
I would still like to get the piece I have restored so if anybody knows where I could get...
WOW!!!! How awesome. Well done guys on your finds.
SC - Mate I am happy to bring back a gram a trip. Some days that's a great day out
An once+++ is exceptional - well Done :Y: :Y: :Y:
Hi Geeza,
Patience is definitely the key. I tend to be a bit methodical in my approach. I would rather do 400 metres in a day properly than 4 km in a rushed way. I tend to use setting 4 or 5 these days and my unit runs fairly quiet. My mate bought his at the same time and can't get his above...
Hi Geeza,
All above comments so true. Keep at it - it will come.
The missus and I started with the SDC - had it paid off within the first 12 mths with the gold finds.
Awesome simple unit to use.
What settings are you using???
Just remember - low and slow is the go!!!
Awesome find Paul - well done.
What unit are you using?? How deep was the big one??
Being from Daylesford are you going local or travelling??
Must of been a screamer!!!
Hi LC,
Dug plenty of shell cases but never a live round, was a bit hesitant swinging the pick after finding it.
Not sure if a decent swing of the pick on the sweet spot would set it off.
I imagine it would????
Well done guys - pity I couldn't match it on the weekend.
back in the GT with the missus this week for 0.55g
She got her mojo back with half the find. UHU. :)
