    California gold rush revival

It sounds feasible - there is still so much gold out there, just getting harder to extract I suppose. Around my area they have done more test drilling near the old deep leads. I live directly over the Poverty Reef Mine (down to 900m) & have the newer mine just out the back owned by Ironbark...

    DRY BLOWERS

Anyone using a dry blower and if so what type & how does it fair? Are there any manual types, like the old timers used? Just interested in getting something along these lines.

    Steel v's Plastic Pans

Stick to plastic with good deeper riffles and the green ones like Turbopan or Garrett Super Sluices make life easy. Green is proven to make the gold (even flour fines) stand out to the naked eye. The worst pan I bought was hot pink plastic...useless! I find my older black one much harder to see...

    How to avoid RSI?

I'm disabled early with brittle bones (fractured spine) & bad arthritis so it's put a serious lean on my detecting "career" & digging stamina. I use a hipstick and a swing arm fitted to my ML5K to help me keep going. Highly recommend investing in these items & way less fatiguing. You can easily...

    Wow Freebies

I'm stuck on Safari after IE via Big Pond vanished from my laptop. This forum is working fine on a regular screen. :) Where do we find out about how to go in the drawer or whatever for the panning giveaway please? I really need some new Garrett pans! :)

    Camping near Tarnagulla GT Vic

The Tarnagulla Caravan Park is CLOSED folks and been that way for the last couple of years. We still get heaps of prospecting people trying to pull in there only to be turned away at all hours. It's still in some guide books & some signs up here & there. Alternatives to this are to camp up at...

Camping ground recommendations? Northern NSW or South Qld

Hi Brian, I found this website quite useful and it has most of the free campsites listed. As I'm new here I can't post the link up but if you Google search australiancampsitesdotcomdotau/ it should come up. :)

how many of you have a 4x4

Okay - some folk may not count this, but I have & adore my little Terios SX 4x4 diff lock (stop sniggering boys). I've had her from new (9 years now & she looks like a dog covered in faded flower stickers I wish I had never put on her) and she is fantastic out bush, easy to get out of bogs & she...

    Howdy y'all.
