    Relic Hunting around Bendigo?

G'day. I am new to Bendigo and keen to get out and about with the treasure tecta. Does anybody have any hints on some interesting places to work the ground? There is a lot of info on gold prospecting in Bendigo obviously, but really I'm interested in coins and relics. I went out to whipstick...

    Cleaning modern coins. Decimals.

Thanks guys, I ended up using the wool scourer and washing up liquid. I got away with it :) Although I think the local foodland are getting used to my dodgy coins lol.

    Minelab Safari For Sale

Hello Guys, i'm selling my beloved Safari. I don't have the original box or manual because I bought it from a guy that bought it as a store display. You can download a user manual from the minelab site. It works just like new, a few scratches here and there. Only one issue is the clip that locks...

    Underwater Gold Chain

It was actually a quite identifiable tone Goldpick. I didn't know that, news to me :) the only trouble I had a few times was pinpointing in the wet. It was sending me all around the place. But, at other times it was good. Most of my targets were just too deep, and I really couldn't go that far...

From South Africa moving to Aus

Welcome to the Forum Pushingtin. You don't need a permit for detecting beaches/parks etc as far as I know, unless its heritage listed. There are also no laws as far as I know about handing your finds in, but if you find a Gold wedding ring it would probably be the best thing to do ;) ... I think...

    Underwater Gold Chain

This was the 3rd beach hunt with the safari, but this time I decided to take her for a swim. Its not as busy down my way as the usual suburban beaches, but goes to show that it doesn't matter where you are, there are goods to be found :)

    A King George "Thupence"

Nice finds TD, it gets a bit tricky locating descent areas around here. I have been doing the beaches for the past few days. Wallaroo tides are strange though.

Does anyone know what this is?

I thought it was a lid from a bottle of bubbly at first, but honestly I have no idea. I have almost a bucket full of unknown items lol. It gets annoying after a while not being able to identify your finds.

    Underwater Gold Chain

So I took my recently purchased safari for a spin in the water today at the beach, and among the usual coins, sinkers and bits of aluminium she managed to sweep up a nice gold chain about a foot and a half under black sand and waves. Pretty happy with the performance so far.
