This is the problem buying second hand, your just buying someone else's problems, I've been able to fix most of the problems myself on my Hippo but had to fork out a shit load of money to have the main seal replaced.

Try puddling the dirt first to break it up, should save you a lot of hard work. :pickshovel:

Take the time to break open quartz as well. I found a small reef last year with visible micro gold in it.

Thats why you have to take the time to rake first

The dry creek beds are the place to look but expect lots of pull rings and buckshot and the occasional .1 gram to .4 gram

Victoria still allows Hi Bankers as well but not a lot of areas in Central Victoria give you access to running water
