There's a shortcut from White Cliffs to Tibooburra via Silver City Highway along the Mutawintji Rd and then Whipstick Rd into White Cliffs. Pretty good graded dirt roads when I did it a year back. Whipstick Rd goes through these big fields of white quartz and it's really pretty. I was shown pics...

I have a Mavic mini. Its around $800 for the kit with 3 batteries. Its great for scoping out an area you cant easily get to or if you want to see above the tree line from your location. Unfortunately it wont tell you where the gold is but its a whole load of fun to fly ;)

Hi Jaros, I grew up in WA but live in NSW now. Keen to look for alluvial gold in Northern Rivers area. I have been looking at minute specs of gold in black beach sand but am thinking its not worth the trouble as the amounts are so small. The flecks are too small to pan and Im not keen on messing...
