Yep, just follow Forest road, that will lead you straight to the old diggings, and to the campground, on the creek. I was there Monday morning (didnt get any gold, just lead) the old workings have been flogged pretty hard, so you may need to venture out a little further. there is still gold...

what about thermal shock? heat it and drop it in cold/iced water, would that work?
