what size classifiers do I need?

Gday everyone. Just after a bit of advice about classifiers. ive been panning for a while now and have only ever used a kitchen strainer above a 10liter paint bucket the classify my material. Im getting some gear together to start looking for some sapphires in north east tasmania. My main question is what size will I need?
I only want to be carrying 2 or 3 if possible. also what other equipment should I have for gem hunting apart from a shovel and a trowel. ive got some perspex. would that be handy to spread classified material out onto with some light under to make stones easier to pick out. Any info would be good.

Hi Ben,

All you need is a 1/8 inch and a 1/4 set of sieves. I wouldn't worry about the perspex, If it's not a bright day take your center cons home re-sieve them and put it under a lamp

I'd also suggest watch Wal and Liz's vid and watch how Liz sieves to get the gems, spinel and iron stone etc to the bottom and centre of the sieve
