Just thought I'd share my little light box idea.

I was looking for a cheap way of taking a light box into the field with me. I then came across this little thing in the local OP Shop, Cost me $5

It's a child's interactive book reader (leap frog)

I then took all the boards out of it, and grabbed a 5m roll of led's ( ebay $10)

Grabbed some 1/4' perspex ($5) used sixaflex to glue and waterproof the unit.

OP Shop again for a plug in 12v supply ($2) and presto

Cigarette adapter and your away to wherever. The led control is useful, as it has 7 stages of brightness (came with the strip)

Cheers
Gordon :)

That's sort of the idea Tone, where we go sieving for sapphire here in Tasmania is usually quite dark (even on a sunny day) I reckon a couple of dark ones might have been mistaken for black jack, and thrown out, plus it's also good for sorting at home.
