G'day all, i have just got back from my UNI intensive school at Armidale. I survived yay :D
Managed to meet up with Diggerdude while i was up there, and do a spot of panning. These are a few of the bigger bits i found.



 
Wow, they're very dark, or is it just the photo? If it wasn't because of the roughly cubic shape of one of them I'd say they're garnets.
 
Not the best photos, sorry :rolleyes: There are two that i probably would have thought were garnet if i found them by themselves, but the others like you say were more cubic.

The stone near your thumb has that nice purple garnety colour just coming through
