Depending on the tearaway before hand, they could be older, just that the sand is dry and loose now.
Great hunting.

I finally met up with PA member Windar today after a invite for a early morning swing in a local park.
Im glad I accepted because I got onto a patch with a few interesting finds.
Thanks Windar, was nice meeting you. Dont forget to post up anything else that pops out of the ground in that vicinity. ;)

Thanks OzzieAu
You have certainly been doing well lately and well deserved for all your hard work. Was great to meet you and get me out for swing. Been a while since I have been out so thanks for that.

Managed a '43 half penny and a Roy Rogers king of the cowboys pin badge. Also a 100 years of tax office 20c.

Second time back plenty of junk including a window lock and paddlock with key still in it, few house keys, a few brown buggers etc
Not sure what the oval shaped item is with all the holes in it, looks to be red/copper on the back. Also a junk ring that was badly bent and an Aluminum something with letter F on it
Cheers
Windar

About 1% is worthy of a clean and keep, the rest is sorted by metal type for the scrap cost.
I am slowly cleaning the environment of metal contamination... at least thats what I tell myself :)

There's a buckle expert or two here hopefully they'll check in. While you wait for some sound offerings use the search icon top left "Buckle" There's quite a few good threads/posts relating to your question

Ive just recently returned from a camping trip to the South East (SA) .
I did some very limited detecting as this was a birthday getaway for the wife, so I was being a good boy and paying attention to other stuff.... anyway with my limited swinging time, I did manage this lot...
