Been through the ringers, but 50% silver in the roll was a nice change from the norm.
Happy hunting :D

Hope you find an 'alien'. You will find relaxation along with anticipation and some expectation with variation, hopefully a lot of elation. :)

Hi Silver
What about a 1966 20c London coin or a 1979 50c double bar coin. Both of these are worth quite a bit of money.
Good luck with the hunt.
I'm in the process of off loading my collection, have been offered $000.00 for 1973 single first 2c coin.
cheers db

Yeah deeoblue, I have a few 1980 and 1979 double bars, but have only recently seen that there is a difference that sets the 1966's apart lol. Always learning something new.
What is the 1973 single first 2c coin that makes it stand out ?

The 1973 2c coin PR70DCAM is the single finest of all 2 cent coins graded for that year,

One of the 4 only 1973 1c coins graded PR70DCAM is on sale for over $1600.00.
So since my coin is the only one and there a few collectors out there that would like to have the single finest set in Australia and World wide it is in high demand.

I'd be asking more then :p
Looks very nice, very special indeed.
Be worth an arm and a leg in 2073 I'd recon.

So..... that $20 hunt :D

Good luck with future hunts.

Thanks deepblue, your certainly up there with the quality coins, I recon you've done well travelling that road mate. Best of the best of the best. :p

Near surface finds there Adrian.... those purple ones hold a little value already too
:perfect:

The three top left dollar coins were approx 8 inches in dry beach sand.
Most of the others are from local picnic grounds at no more than a few inches tops.
Detectors used were vanquish 340 and EQ 600.
I find the 340 to be a respectable machine for a bit of casual beach detecting, really is fool proof......Probably why I can use it aye. :D
