Surely police have a data base that they can search for all persons with a blue Nissan Patrol that also have a trailer registered &/or a shooters/game licence.
Some body must know some body that has or had a blue Patrol at that time.
Rob.

Older camera's, dirty lens and focus not clear, they are not very good images.

No doubt the police will be checking video of nearby service stations, intersections etc

They are asking for car cam video, but it would be likely that memory would be over written by now.

:/

only my opinion... but i think the cops are onto him or them already :Y: .

i would not be surprised if the poor campers were in the tailer and taken else where :awful: .

also strange that a few months back the cops found 2 shovels miles away but said they are not connected ? who leaves 2 shovels or spades behind when they go out bush ?

Council road workers leave tools and crap everywhere.

Who knows, maybe ity has no bearing, maybe it does.

I doubt the police would be asking for public assistance if the vehicle and owner would be known to them, but stranger things have happened.

Police will often ask for assistance even if the perpetrators of crimes are known to them, additional information provided by witnesses and general members of the public may strengthen their case in relation to timelines, movements etc, all just further pieces of what may be a very intricate case build. Identification of a suspect is often when the hard graft starts.

Always good to hear a good progress report. :)

What makes the arrest interesting is the way it was planned and executed. Heavily armed SOG (Special Operations Group) choppered in to his location to execute the arrest  They know more than they've said imo. Hopefully they've got the person responsible, the families deserve the answers. Sadly not always the case.

You can bet the detectives have not conducted such an operation without a pretty good idea of what happened, even if they are from VicPol.

It will make for good reading no doubt, sad as it is.

Wait. What? Was this over an argument for a camp-site?

Time will tell, it's all speculative until charges are laid and details come to light. One things certain the latest developments are showing a strong case.

Nothing wrong with VicPol Dr what ever your reference is :/ No matter what jurisdiction a police force is from ultimately the majority are of the highest integrity thankfully imo. Nonetheless there are absolute scumbags amongst each fold undoubtedly, you don't need a degree in rocket science or criminology or any other degree to work that out.
