Over the years have had various detectors mostly ML came across in the cupboard, an 8 inch Coil cover and a a coil cover that's 20cm in diam with not a flat bottom the 16cm round section in the middle is 1cm lower than the outside bottom edge. Is this a coil cover for a Minelab 16000, Eureka Ace.... or .. or...

If memory serves me correctly, the 1980's Garrett VLFs - Deepseeker and Groundhog - had coil covers with that sort of profile. Would either be a possibility?
 
Thanks gs, But the only green (Garrett) machine we have ever owned is SWMBO's GTA1000 coin machine and it has an elliptical coil. Maybe I won the coil cover in a raffle in the late 70's, 80's.
 
This pic is very lo-res but it's all that I can find showing the old Garrett coil covers. If you squint hard you might just make out that all three coil sizes use a sort of 'plate-shaped' cover with a central flat area:
