Green hornet just posted this... what a ripper

The twelve days of Christmas Covid
On the first day of Christmas my true love said to me...
Two weeks of lockdown, and a Covid vaccine for thee.
On the second day of Christmas my true love said to me...
Two jabs you get, two weeks of lockdown, a fortnight together for thee.
On the third day of Christmas my true love said to me...
Have you been tested, two jabs to get, two weeks of lockdown and I've booked the first jab for thee.
On the fourth day of Christmas my true love said to me...
Why are you kissing me...? Have you been tested, two jabs to get, two weeks of lockdown and don't share your virus load with me.
On the fifth day of Christmas my true love said to me...
Can you taste the coffee..? Why did you kiss me, have you been tested, two jabs to get, two weeks of lockdown and one day we might be Covid free.
On the sixth day of Christmas my true love said to me...
Please go get your jab for me.. Can you taste the coffee, why did you kiss me, have you been tested, still two jabs to get, two weeks of lockdown, and please stop touching my knee.
On the seventh day of Christmas my true love said to me...
Oh jeez you just sneezed ! Please go get your jab, can you taste the coffee, why did you kiss me, have you been tested, still two jabs to get, two weeks of lockdown, and hopefully no Covid for me.
On the eighth day of Christmas my true love said to me...
You're dripping with sweat, you just sneezed, go get your jab, can you taste the coffee, why did you kiss me, have you been tested, still two jabs to get,
two weeks of lockdown, and just don't come near me.
On the ninth day of Christmas my true love said to me...
Oh God diarrhea.., dripping with sweat, you just sneezed, go get your jab, can you taste the coffee, why did you kiss me, have you been tested, two jabs to get,
two weeks of lockdown, and please, clean the toilet for me.
On the tenth day of Christmas my true love said to me...
What is that coughing, God diarrhea, dripping with sweat, you just sneezed, go get your jab, can you taste the coffee, why did you kiss me, have you been tested, two jabs to get,
two weeks of lockdown, and I don't want you to be hugging me.
On the eleventh day of Christmas my true love said to me...
You are infecting me... What is that coughing, God diarrhea, dripping with sweat, you just sneezed, go get your jab, can you taste the coffee, why did you kiss me, have you been tested,
still two jabs, two weeks of lockdown and just get tested for me!
On the twelfth day of Christmas my true love said to me...
Just get damn tested for me...
So I did.
What was the result, am I infected... what is that coughing, God diarrhea, dripping with sweat, you just sneezed, go get your jab, can you taste the coffee, why did you kiss me, now you've been tested, two jabs to go, two weeks of lockdown and just tell the result to me...!
Well I got tested, they just swabbed me, got the result, AND now you have a cold like me !!

Shakespearean Ode For Bjay

How can it be,
ye speak the C,
With neer a guard to cut down thee?

For C is naughty, and spake not right,
made worse tenfold, when paired with shite.

And fellow man, described as thus-
retro fodientem cunnus

Please expand on that??

Memorandum to expand em
One by one? Or Perhaps in tandem?
Bait the hook, reel then land em,
With no intention meant.

Ah! But for those rascally words,
To some theyre flowers,
To others turds!
Feast on them, like tarts with curds,
But not to all, their fancy

Wit and rhyme? Sometimes too hard,
Earns slings and arrows, for the bard.
With ostracism on the card,
The wordsmiths cross to bear

Jaros 'ol boy, I bring thee nothing but flowers :flowers:

And unto thee Silver, my fellow wordsmith.

As two peas we share a pod,
Not one, but two, a rhyming sod.
Seeking praise, and dodging mod,
We are but two the same

As black dogs pass,
The sun doth rise,
Bringing joy to both our eyes,
Translating what they see, we tries,
But sometimes come a gutsa!

Dear Silver and Deepseeker
Thine words almost went through to the keeper
At least within mine own Latin knowledge
Mine cranium stressed,almost to porridge

I sought to ease my cranial pain
And clicked to google yet once again
Translated there after several tries
Aghast of face and bulging eyes!

A mystic bell in mine brain abides
And reminds me of those Roman ides
Whenst Ceasar suffered a similar fate
One wouldst not wish such upon a mate

NEY!...No insult intended upon Jaros's head
But a clever disguise of words instead
To pass the rule of ''oratonius civilis''
With a belly laugh Deepseeker hath filled us...No copyright implied or requested.

Mine own insight upon it all
on belly laugh I did but crawl
half standard tried but still did fall
one handed stands aside the wall
to catcheth breath against it all
if all but knew how I doth laugh
with festive mirth my soul doth bath
such gleeful play with vested verse
I stand here hence my wit transvesed

Pickles and Jams

I helped a bloke
he made me think
of pickles and of jams.
it's why we're here
its what we do.
it does us good
when it's done well
for every bit is welcome.
As too is help in crisis time
in a pickle
or a jam.
it makes us good
to be right there
when any help is welcome.

Old Jimmy White.

It was long ago and far away
When I chanced along the Kidmin Way There also by fateful chance
Lay a Bull suffering the wild Pigs advance.

The poor old beast had broken a front limb In trying to cross the grid not meant for him
And the wild pigs sensing the poor beasts plight
Had started feeding on him through the night

The Homestead lay in a short way off the road
And we thought it better that the ocky knowed So we cruised up to the Yandilla House
Wide verandah all -round and oh it was grous.

And there with his hair as white as fresh snow
Sat the man that Id soon have the pleasure to know
We exchanged greetings and told him of the pigs and the Bull
And how from his vulnerable rear, theyd been having their full.

He listened intently to what we had said Then asked if we would kindly put a bullet in the poor old Bulls head.
So thats how it started the friendship you see
Between Old Jimmy White,Yandilla and me.

And many were the evenings spent listening in awe
As he recounted the days of a soldier at war
From Gallipolis bloody beaches to the mud of the Somme
Side by side at times with the Yankees and Poms.

And many were the trips taken to Yandilla back then
A year then five and soon it was ten
Wed call him from Cobar,Hed say How yer goin mate
And greet us at the roadside to open the gate.

Then one day a letter in a very fine handas it be
Arrived in my mailbox addressed PERSONAL to me
Twas his daughter in-law who said it was her sad duty to say
That Old Jimmy was no more for hed passed quietly away.

She had found my address amidst his papers and such And she knew wed been good friends and hed spoke of me much
And sometimes as the dusk gives way to the night
My thoughts are of Yandilla and Old Jimmy White.

Yes...I once lived there too... in yesterday that is
It all seems so so long ago...a different time a different mindset...a different nation. Are we a better nation today...I don't think so.We certainly have more money and(things)
But I think we were a much more united and morally conscious and respectful lot back in the '50s, the '60s, 70's....I was born in 48...so I've seen a lot of changes in that time...I never dreamed though that I would live to see so much turmoil and injustice right across the world. And that I would see a time when the world itself, our beautiful wonderous Earth... would teeter on the edge of complete distruction and climatic upheaval as is the case today...to quote the Beatles...Yesterday, all my troubles seemed so far away...now I wish those days were here to stay...oh I believed in yesterday!

Thank you Deepseeker...I'm sorry I don't know your name....Old Jimmy White was for me a link back to my great uncle who had been on the same re-inforcement ship as he was...but of course in a different Battalion, so to listen to Jimmy recall those days was in some way very comforting somehow...knowing that My Uncle Albert and Jimmy were both going through the same blood sweat and tears. Uncle Albert was blown to pieces by a shell while out on night patrol, but to listen to Old Jimmy, he reckoned it was no wonder for the shelling would go on for hours at a time and you never knew why it got some and left others.
