My colour blindness only allows me to see the blue that gets confused with purple, I can see metallic shines but I can't actually see what colour they are.
The old man tells me but I will never see what your seeing in the photos.

The UV light is a very useful tool when you know how to use it (LW or SW).
Some nice colour there & more to come now.
Have you used a geiger counter during your searching for opal? Opal is slightly radio active compared to background radiation levels. Need a low level radiation very sensitive counter.(not a Cold War atomic bomb radiation detector). :D
