Has anyone used a yabby pump for shallow bedrock testing

Hi has any one used a yabby pump for shallow bedrock testing,without the need to dig all over.Thanks in advance :goldpan: :pickshovel:
 
Yep....works fine.

Only issue is getting the yabby pump over to where you want to dump without losing the contents.

Easily fixed by this little device:

Once you've completed the suction stroke, everything you've collected is stored in the pump until you remove the lower unit and empty it.

The 16mm suction nozzle lets you get into areas where space is more restricted.

Alternatively, he also makes this little unit, which is a damn sight more easy to lug around than a yabby pump....fits into a backpack really neat:

I have no affiliation with the supplier of this gear......bought both of the above some time ago, and they work great.

The little hand crevice pump goes with me every time I wander up a creek or river.
