Apparently the HH in the bottom left corner of 2 dollar coins minted in 1988 and 1989 can be worth something. My son found a couple but a quick search shows they minted something like 200 million of them. Not so rare but he is happy with them perfect 1619827433_screenshot_20210501_092953.jpg

Since 1966 in Australia, the only 2 decimal coins really worth keeping an eye out for are the 1966 wavy 20c and the 2000 $1 mule.

The rest go up a few dollars, but nothing like 10k! ...so far anyway!

At least two more

2014 $1 Anzac Mule (10c obverse same as the yr 2000 $1Mule.)

2007 5c double header

and I'm pretty sure there are other double headers..... and some double reverses(but for some reason they don't know what years those are from) tongue

Serial numbers with notes. The letters and the first 2 numbers. Example, vg95 on the $50 note. The vg was the last run , and the 95 is 1995. Notes the 1st 2 numbers are the printed year. With notes condition is everything.

Finding a buyer is the issue usually.

I just spent a $10 out of the album lol.... looked at it and thought "too many creases" I'll spend it.
Couldn't for the life of me think of why I put that in there at all in the first place.

Done that once before years ago with $1 & $2 coins... reduced them by years without even a close glance with the loupe.. I often ponder about the $1 2000's hmm but I don't lose sleep over it.... was food on the table at the time. big_smile

Can't wait for the day someone here digs up 1 of the early coins with the hole in the middle. Super rare and very expensive
