Just a little idea for the Minelab engineers. It appears that if you are running the 6000 with the speaker on that there are some interferences in the audio, the battery sits below the speaker, you just push it in, if the speaker would have a similar connection, you would just have to push the battery in. When you use the head-phones or a BT speaker, apparently the detector runs smoother then. And, the speaker stays nice and clean in the glovebox. You push the battery in only if you have to, and even less weight to swing. Maybe Minelab will think about this for the upcoming detectors. I might even get myself one with less interference. :)
 
I understand that the USB socket for software upgrades is hidden behind the speaker cover, which is removeable, so I don't think your idea would be quite as simple to implement as you think, Hermann.
