CTX 3030 and Gold Monster 1000

Im heading up Georgetown way soon. Do not want to get into the new GPX 6000 or GPZ 7000 yet and besides that I do not live close to a gold region. I currently own a CTX 3030. I read recently about the guy (Maccatuna) on this website who is having success with very small gold using the Monster up in the Northern Territory. I know that the Monster is not in the same league as the more expensive units but at just over $1,000 it is an option to purchase.

But my thoughts are that the CTX I already own may do pretty much the same as the Monster, plus it has discrimination ability.

ummmmm my experience is NOPE. But all depends on the size of the gold and how deep and a 6"coil may be better than the 11" .

I have used our Gold Monster in the Georgetown area and it has certainly paid for itself.
