Not sure if you are for or against that ad
I wish nsw gov would encourage the same

At the moment it seems like they are discouraging prospecting in nsw and the smaller towns will lose business

If they were going to make an add they should at least get the visual props looking correct (no water in pan ) (coil on upside down). maybe even include some actual footage of real detectorists kitted out and digging countless bullets @ boot tacs :argh:

I love the ad and anything that can help our hobby and more importantly, helping the storekeepers, pubs, restaurants, detector and fossicking equipment suppliers. Well done Victoria and now we need one for Qld. Having said that i did something on Weekender about searching for Sapphires at Sapphire and the Caravan Park has been swamped with calls after the recent floods. Get out there and have a go.

Mackka, there is a place at Everton Park (camping shop?) that sells bags of gem wash from the Willows for about $25... I will try and find exact details... He was bringing them down to the Goldie for awhile as well... But haven't seen the add lately...
