Back into the water today, Greg was out yesterday and found coins and a Silver pendent... Lots of detector holes but not all of them were Gregs.
Yulia told me she went today and saw 3 other detectorists, she got $3 but she doesn't know what the three other blokes got.
Anyway I was out chest deep and got a little patch of Goldies and managed to get an 18ct gold ring, iffy signal in the hole and out of the hole tid 14 so I thought it was going to be a 10c but was surprised to see the ring.
A bit further on and another tid 14 which was a gold chain that tested as gold with pendent also tested as gold.
I'm thinking of heading to another section I've not done for over a year to see if anything has surfaced.

More gold on that beach than our local GPA.
Nice finds GDA :Y:

Yeah Smoky it's amazing for sure, my pre-decimal honey hole is being so stingy at the moment and not releasing the bounty.
The beach is taking its time releasing the older stuff but they're coming to the surface and I'll be there to collect them. :D

Out again today for the low tide and a new spot. I've had the itch to try it for a few days now and it didn't disappoint.
30 mins in I had 3 rings 2x gold and 1 stainless then for the next 1 and a half hours not alot.
I did manage to find some coins but was surprised there weren't more.
The gold signet looks to be either 916 or 585 with a hallmarking that I haven't put an I'd on yet.
The other gold is 10k...

Sitting at home is just not agreeing with me so last night was my chance to get out for a swing.
Sanded in everywhere at the moment so I had to think about where I could go, decided on my spot then made my way there and hit on a Silver Tiffany & Co.
A few steps more I was in a patch of coins, deep but all in a 3 by 3 metre area... I knew I wasn't going to get alot more and I caught the low for 2 hrs before it started coming back in.
Was a shame really as conditions were perfect, nice flat surf but no gutters or channels anywhere to be seen.

Crazy cool find at the beach last night.
Circa 1970 and it still works.
There was alot on offer as the beach is sanded in due to the council topping the Beach up but nice to see some older finds making there way to the surface.

Mate I think I might pull up stumps and head down your way - how many ounces of gold have you pulled out so far - amazing :)

It's a beautiful beach to detect and good history surrounding the area, there's some areas that will give up good booty but only when the sand cuts deep... Literally 100+ years of treasure slowly surfacing...

Any time mate... Lots of localities with history in them around here, some of the stories I've been told would put all my finds in the OK category lol

Got out last night to Christen the new scoop.
Things started off slowly, lots of small coinage 5c 10c 20c, a few hours passed and still not very many finds.
I walked a long way, and decided to hit the spot I found the Pocket stop watch, small coin spill of 50c 10c 20c then nothing again.. I gridded but no luck. I decided to go back to where I started and grid slowly which turned out to be the right choice as I started hitting on some old coins, 1c 2c then a Brit penny 1888, a 1955 one penny then a beautiful Commonwealth Penny 1918 of which only 1,200,000 were ever made woop woop... Then I hit a 5c coin and for some reason I turned around and the coil ran over another signal tid 17...after 3 deep scoops I hard the target, I thought I was getting a 50c but I saw that golden colour and my night was complete.
I stayed a little longer then decided it was time to come home.
11pm I got to the beach, when I got the car it was 3:45am.. Lol Time goes fast when you're having fun.
