I agree with grubstake, there have been nuggets found there but it's not an area that was prolific. There was an operating mine at Kundip but I seem to remember that it produced more copper than gold. You'd be lucky to get a coil close to the ground in the park,it is heavily vegetated, but if you know some cockies you might be able to play on their ground. The 2200 is a pretty old model. I'm sure there are people here who can give you some tips.
