Very nice ring total, tie clip is a bit of a mystery, maybe a beach wedding and some young bloke thought I'll go for a quick dip. :Y:

Went out early this morning at about 5am to the beach for some water detecting. Unfortunately, the forecast was updated overnight and strong 30-plus knot winds came about three hours earlier than I thought they would. But because I'm a mad idiot addicted to this hobby, I stuck it out. I copped my fair share of face slapping waves, but still managed a child's silver ring, a 1942 florin that I swear I didn't bend with my scoop, a 1910 thrip that was probably used as a pendant (maybe a George V fan??) and what I thought was a button marked E.Miller and Co U.S.A.. Turns out it is the nob off an oil lamp from the late-1800s early-1900s (see pic below).
