GDay Newbie to Gold Fossicking

Hi All,
I am looking at getting into Gold Fossicking with a Metal Detector. I did go fossicking for gold over 35 years ago as a young kid with my Dad. Panning and using a homemade river sluice.

Recently my 15 year old son has become really keen to get started in fossicking so I am hoping to get so advice, Hints & Tips from this forum.
