Here are some Poems from 2500 years ago a guy called Gottama.
I added some extras to a poem or two from a Monk that announced some extras that were not disclosed in the transcripts.
Don`t get me wrong `i` am not trying to promote Buddhism but this guy then was in some respect & some regard this guys Mind as equivalent to Ironstein.

Interesting fact with regard to some who question the relevance of the Poetry Section on PA. Since Silver's initial post on the 15January 2018 there have been some 400 odd replies and over 120,ooo Views!...Not bad by a long shot compared to juggernauts like Dr Duck's The History section and Ken's 'what song do you like' and 2-3 others.
If just one, of my 'crap poems' resonated in the heart and mind of just one person among the 120,000 viewers then my Poetry despite it's short-comings has been worth my time and energy to write, and the connection between that one person and I is unbreakably powerful and exists in a dimension incomprehensible to the tiny minds who just 'don't get it'.Thankfully some of those..'tiny minds' have chosen to leave and have joined 'The Wild Bush Horses' over on that EPITOME of vile rhetoric and vicious libel..
Gold Finders...  What a bunch of disgusting gutter-snipes some of them are...

Quite possibly they may have some of your poetic rhetoric prambulating across their hippocampus unbeknownst to themselves at this particular point in time, reckoning deeper down in the fight amongst themselves to resolve a far simpler conflict at the surface.
Even naughty children reconciling inner conflict over wants and needs know what they're missing once they've held it in their hands for a while.... they soon come about or just go without (poetic ending) :p

.....From year to year.....
Rum n beer from Christmas Cheers
Lasting through till past New Years
Anebriative Celebrations
Resolution Invocations
Festive waves of indulgent gastronomy
Lazy day conversing splendidly
Treasures found from guided destiny
Bundy Rums soft fire gets to me
Bottle striaght just how it's meant to be
Gentle sips bring giddy ecstasy
Keeping me on tranquil high
Just below the spin of razors edge
Where good thoughts pass on bye
Cutting fine lines
Driking from Jam Jars
Acrid smells of rummyness
That warm the nose inside.
Imbibing liquid jewells of caramel
My mind resides outside
That steely phase of liquid glaze
That plays across my mind
I'm dancing on that razors edge
berween that great divide
Where brain and drink could lose the plot
Of just how much that I should drink
and of how I shall decide.

Remorse and Regret

A powerhouse pair of words
Emotions shared with nothing spared
Force enough to stop a war
If in the right mind stirred and spurred
More even so for lesser vessels
Once the mind has wrapped around
Ensconced in mortal flesh what manifest that really mattered.
Whenst that lost is found and pondered on
That momentary loss of moral compass
Domains where price of rife is high
Too high a burden left to bare
Where just one tear has left you there
Wooing contemplations stance
Hoisted far aloft from deep within
That which brought one forth unto the brim
Where past abandon doth behest
The inner sanctum held divine
Must quantify and cleanse the mind
Too clarify amends to make
To beautify and reinstate
Serenity of minds landscape
The betterment of me to make
It's what I give that I can take

At Maitland Bar AGAIN!

Hoist up the buckets Boy's ...as they did in times of yore
Shovelling the gravels Boys ...that's what we are here for
The Rush is on to Maitland Bar ..and there's my good mate Ken
We were shovelling the gravels, Boys!
At Maitland Bar again.

Now it's been over a hundred years since the old ones dug a shaft
That we would do the same thing now, you'd think us rather daft
But we've sworn an oath to drive one down to bedrock and till then
We were shovelling the gravels, Boys!
At Maitland Bar again.

We've travelled near and far my Boy's...Spent hours in the seat.
Never mind the distance Boy's...There's friends we have to meet.
I can tell you all I'm glad I was there, I'll long remember when
We were shovelling the gravels Boys!
At Maitland Bar again.

So it's here's to your health my Boy's...We had a real goodnight
We were all there together Boy's...By the campfire's light
There was time enough for digging Boys!... when morning came and then
We were shovelling the gravels Boys!...
At Maitland Bar again...

Moderator Edit.

Rossco sincerly apologizes for any ill intent this caused.

The ditty has been adjusted to relect this and more will
be added later.

Thanks Rossco for your honesty.

Well, thanks Lindon, that's exactly what it is mate...a rousing melody in 'G' with the Bodhran Drum pounding out the rhythm in a lively 4/4 timing! Just the sought of thing that the old one's loved to dance to, around the campfire. As it was in days of yore...so it is for us once more.!
You know you don't here the Bodhran Drum very much anymore, the one I had imported from Ireland bears the Guinness label on the face of the drum..(as you might expect)and is made using a particular sought of goat skin...can't remember which now..but I love the sound of that thing!

"Marquez" Prado.

It was one of those sad melancholic days
That fall on you in certain ways
The ones you wished you never struck
Like the day I sold my Prado truck.

Now friend I'm here to tell you true
There was not too much it could not do
Not sorted out with fancy things
Like off-road tyres and special springs.

It's taken me places where I might have met you
Enabled me to do what we prospectors do
It's carried the weight of impossible loads
To places where there ain't no roads.

It's sheltered me from the worst of storms
From the heat of the day and adverse weather 'norms'
It's taken to the highways with a tiger-like purr
Taken on washed out gutters and rocky spurs.

Old Marquez Prado is with the grandson now
Sage can't believe his luck!
He's even given him a brand new name
That's simply... 'Pop's Old Truck'!...

Little Sparrow

Little Sparrow in the street
Looking tither, timid and meek
Watching all as for you seek
Tiny morsels you may eat
Happy with some tiny crumb
Or insect on a car that come
Captured on a drive one night
And brought to you without a fight
Never do we ever see
Your carcass there in misery
We see you througout history
But where you go remains a mystery
Living in some hideaway
I'm glad you can still fly today.

May no one be ever as canny as thee
Nor see wherever it be that ye be
May sounds not travel
Nor sights be despurred
May ye stay undisturb'ed
Whilst good gold be your cause.
