A little rain didn't stop me from detecting this afternoon and neither did the thunder and lightning ? in the distance.
Beach number 1 was a bust, no coins, no pull tabs, no bottle caps which is never a good sign so off to beach 2....First good signal was a foreign coin with 200 on it, next several signals were goldies then a solid AG 925 Gucci ring, damn expensive for a silver ring.
Next thing you know the frigging Shaft broke but not wanting to end my dig removed the middle Shaft and swung bent over to finish the small section I had left in my grid, very next signal was another ring, well worn down with no hallmarks and looks like stainless.
I thought oh well head home and get online to purchase a carbon Shaft.

Until next time happy detecting

Making up for lost time Art, superb ring. Yeah I broke the shaft on the Nox a few months ago , my fault though , I tried to skip around a headland instead of going over and misjudged the swell . Got washed into the boulders . When I finally got out realised the upper shaft on the Nox snapped clean through . It was a good night and still wanted to detect so was swinging the bottom part in my left hand while holding the upper part of the shaft in the right connected by the coil , what an idiot

Yeah it's been great to get out, next week is super low tides so I'll be out in the water...

My last few digs were enjoyable and my finds were good too... More rings and change to put toward some wireless bluetooth headphones... Tonight I cleaned up the beach of bottles and cans then gridded and hit on a nice 17 signal, out popped a 14k gold cross then a few goldies $1 and $2...
Looking forward to more water detecting in the coming weeks...

My coin, ring patch has sanded in so I need to wait for some good movement of sand to get back into the finds at my local.
Anyway until next time happy detecting

Been a busy few weeks down my way and I'm loving the detecting... Gold, Silver, Coins and just good ole exercise... I purchased some waterproof earphones and a half wetsuit for deeper water detecting and totally loving it. Anyway onto the finds.

The last two days was stormy here so hoping my honey hole patch has had sand moved so I can get back onto some good targets... Of note where this patch is a 1930 penny was found and I'm told it was sold for $10,000.
Until next time happy detecting
Cheers Gda :Y: :D :Y:

Great stuff, Gda. Yeah, I'm hoping for a bit of new sand movement after this weather as well.

Went for a drive tonight around the corner to check out the pier and its blowing up a huge swell... That sorta thing puts a smile on my dial. :)
