Was surprised to find this awesome little fellow in my pan yesterday. A quick Google search suggests it's a Burns Cutty clay pipe made in Glasgow, Scotland circa 1847 - 1891.

Not sure about the "Reynolds" marking, though.

Was really pleased to have found this, my first relic. Besides this, only found a few specks of yellow for the day - so it was the icing on the cake.

That is one so Smokin-hot find. I always remember the time I found two in a hole with a fugget when metal detecting, it was the highlight of my day too.

They kept giving once I got home and was able to research the makers marks. I am now hooked on mudlarking the Thames YouTube videos and all the varieties they find in the muck.
 
I would sit back, pack it with some " old log cabbin" and give it a puff!
