Moderators, why was this topic by Teemore closed?

In doing so you've created a biased thread. I dont know, was that the intention?

Please respond to this post, do not send a private message. If you cant respond via this thread then delete my profile immediately.

Threads tend to be locked when members cross the line. I believe you did that when you were insulting and offensive when you called Teemore illiterate.
There's nothing biased about stopping this kind of unacceptable behaviour, in my opinion.

Cheers,
Megsy

thanks Megsy.. I did say "deliberate" illiteracy which by definition isn't insinuating.

Hey, that's not a problem with me, I'm not offended by that ..... I give and accept that I will receive, I don't get my knickers in a knot that easily.

Cheers Guys. T.

Yeah, keep it rolling, you never got a chance to explain how you where fine with going onto farmers pastoral leases for exploration, setting up mining on their leases, in WA for 17 years.
Now you don't like it the other way around

I could see both sides, but to dig in another blokes leases in Wa for 17 years, and be ok with that, hyprocrictal!

Am I in the poop ????

Not my topic so won't say anything here.

Bugger, probably shouldn't say it, can't help myself ...... pretty sure you can delete yourself if you wanted to, don't need mods to do that for you.

Teemore....I had a convoluted reply all typed up to you, went to post it, and the damn gate had been shut sad

Anyhow, thanks for your attempt to answer the "101 Questions" on the previous thread.

Thought you might be interested in this document as a bit of "lockdown" reading:

Crown water frontages
An explanatory guide to your licence conditions

https://www.forestsandreserves.vic.gov. … itions.pdf

This document spells out the Licence Conditions one by one and explains them in plain language.....any Victorian farmer using Crown Frontage would have access to this information.

For those still interested in this subject....my understanding is that the Amended Legislation is headed for the Upper House.

Already there is resistance:

Victorian Nationals backing farmers against new camping rights

“The Liberal Nationals support Victorians enjoying more opportunities to fish and camp on Victoria’s water frontages, but we don’t think it’s fair farmers and land managers are left behind,” Mr Walsh said.

The Nationals are hoping to put in place a rule saying people must acquire the consent of the farm and land managers before accessing public areas.

https://www.riverineherald.com.au/2020/ … ing-rights

That seems fair, doesn't it....having to ask a farmers' permission to access and use your own land ops

Here is the current composition of the Victorian Upper House:

Not sure where the Libs stand, but they generally have a tendency to back their Nationals mates.

So, it could come down to the crossbench.......anyone who wants to see these changes go through would be well advised to start lobbying their local MLC.

What reasonable person would care if they jack the fines for littering etc up 500%.
Won't worry me at all.
Proceeds go into policing it correctly!???
Nail the idiots harshly, and let true Aussies enjoy Australia.
Crap Avenue to take about " permission" .
Perhaps drop the lease fees for those willing,...?
Individual case by case study of exemption for those who have " already " have their home/ etc close to the boundary.
But who seriously would have such built in a flood zone! Thats just silly.
I'm impressed that such a "crown land act" is in place in Vic along its rivers.

Thanks, had a heap of Vic regulations in regard to, think they call it Riparian rights, buried somewhere.

And you're correct, all sides have, or had a chance to lobby their representatives.... greater minds than ours will come up with something we'll have to abide by, no problem with me.

Don't worry I had one typed out as well ... but as you say topic was closed....

Really nothing against BigL ..... could understand his point of view IF he really had a problem with idiots up his way.

Cheers Tom.
