Hey All,
I have just uploaded a video on how to create gold maps using QGIS, and what data resources are available when creating custom maps.
Currently running a 2300/Z and 705 for my Son. Love the Talbot/Maryborough area. Low and Slow.
Great info thanks for sharing.
I've got my QGIS set up with all offline data except for the satellite imagery, by downloading from Victoria's Spatial Datamart site: http://services.land.vic.gov.au/SpatialDatamart/
If you register for a (free) account, you can set up recurring data orders, so you can get updated info for datasets where it is appropriate - for example, mining licenses.
GeoVic is incredibly clunky and hard to use. I mean, you can use it alright, but compared to a fully offline setup with QGIS, it is a terribly dissatisfactory experience.

Awesome video Tryhard.
You presented it really well. Never missed a beat.
Something for me to take a closer look at when I get the time.
Cheers Andy
