Hi, I'm a Conus fossil scholar

I would be interested in images and documentation of Australian fossil Conus, especially C. hamiltonensis and ligatus.

Could anyone help me?

Thanks in advance

Alessandro

Alessandro - yes we have these species here in Victoria, but this is perhaps not the best place to search. Why not try the Museum of Victoria staff? There was also a research group on modern Conus toxins at University of Melbourne, and someone with kniwledge of modern species at the Museum of Victoria (Blair Patullo). They might lead you to fossil Conus reports.

e.g. in the Torquay Group/Fyansford Formation/Balcombe Clay of Fossil Beach, Mornington, Victoria.
