Hi, Just recently detected this near some old diggings and I'm pretty sure its gold. It's 9mm long, 2mm wide and weighs 0.2gm. It looks like one side may have broken or maybe more of it at some stage. Thanks... Aaron

money clips were common , usually made with gold covering over a steel core to give them some spring , i have one made of hallmarked silver but its about 50 mm long.

Thanks very much for the responses. I thought it may have been a tie pin too but it doesn't seem wide enough. Probably missing a fair piece of it. Money clip maybe as well CS. I might go back and look to see if the rest of it is around. Cheers :Y:

Going by that little crown on it, I think you may have found the queens roach clip
