Finally got all the bits together , the weld was 90% of the cost , $60 all up , using a cv drive shaft as the pestle , makes nice sand :D

Very nice HB, works a treat. A local steel supplies business quoted me around $30-40 to get one made up (no handle). I've got a bunch of quartz that needs crushing which you've actually just reminded me about.
 
Love the new pan mate , went through the bucket I took home , as per avitar , heaps of black sand left in pan , but NO GOLD :(
 
Good to see you getting some use out of the pans mate. I found the same thing in that area, plenty of black sand but no colour (what so ever), I'm sure I must have been facing in the wrong direction :/
 
Nice one HB, simple enough, I am looking for an old hydraulic jack, need a large one I think, take out the pistons and a pre made dolly pot.. just going to bolt the small piston to a rod and it should be sweet.
