Nice collection of florins - old and new, congrats on the gold. :Y:

Thanks goldpick - no gold mate , just a gold plated ring - . Most of the silvers coins are down fairly deep and hence the use of the small eliptical coil which can pinpoint a target much better than the standard and large coil , and picks up those whispers . I'm useless at coin cleaning , just the standard bicarb mixture in alfoil , but that never seems to work like it does on you tube. I tried one florin on the left , the shiny one , in a coin tumbler with medium but pretty much ruined its finer features , i will try porcelin cleaning media next time . Oh and long handle shovel comes in handy :Y:

No, I don't have much luck either using the foil method, in fact it has ruined a couple of my .925 coins. I used to have more luck using electrolysis, though don't bother cleaning the .925 ones these days. Citric acid does work very well on the 50% silvers.
