Hi all
The batteries that come with the qed pl3 are 18650 3.7v li lon 2600mah, can the qed run a different mAh, like 18650 3.7 li lon 5000mah battery?
I thought the higher the mah the longer detector should ran, is this right?

Thats correct, mAh indicates how long the battery will last per charge cycle, roughly linear relationship between mAh and time, just be sure to get protected batteries. Protected batteries have a small circuit inside of them as a safeguard for various issues like overcharging, heat, etc. dont skimp

Thanks for the feedback
I have done some more research and have found that a 18650 battery highest mAh capacity is 3500mah , any thing higher that is a china fake.

mAh doesn't matter, its just the batteries capacity. as long as they are all 3.7v 18650 you're all good (4.2v when @ full charger)

Like mentioned above, majority of the 18650s going cheap with ratings of 4000+mAh are complete BS..

Samsung have always been my go to 18650.

I run protected panasonic 3500mah in my pl2 and works great. :Y:
Samsung are also well regarded

Thanks for the feedback
