hi,

My first go at finding owner of a property to contact for access to prospect.

Using your links I have the following:
Google maps address road address, road name, postcode, etc
NSW Lot and DP
Lat & Long

Not sure how I can now find the owners contact details, name phone number.

Any help would be appreciated.

other then that give the local council a ring and ask them

G'day Phantom,

Go to this site and do a title search http://www.lpi.nsw.gov.au for a small fee. It will give the owners name

Cheers

Hi guys,

If this information was available in a mobile application, would you find it of use? Or would phone reception (and therefore internet connection) be a serious issue for many do you think?

I am thinking of compiling a lot of the research into an application for easy reference, and link it to the phones GPS so I can map my own finds and locations.

Thoughts?

Thanks,

Karma

I took out an opal lease in Q'land . The first thing I had to do was take out a prospecting permit for 3 months at a cost of $114.10 at that time . I think the mines dept. informed the land holder that I was going to be on his property . I spoke to the landholder on the phone but never met him . Mining claim $342.40 Advertising $200 -300 Bond $2,000 . I expect all these costs have gone up now . After I had finish ed with the lease it took me about 6 months to get my bond money back . They like to take but not give back .
I would like to point out that it was crown land , private land will be harder to access . Check with any mines dept. and they will tell you how to go about it .
