This is a cheap drill and I did not want to buy a new battery , I might as well buy a new one for the same cost . As you can see I have soldered the wires in where the battery used to go . Be careful drilling the plastic , I found it very brittle . The plan was to drill two holes and put a knot in the cable to stop it been pulled out . I will put some epoxy putty around the cable to hold it in place .

Now you can plug into your car or truck , you can also plug into your jump starter . If you are going on a big trip you take everything but for weekend trips you can take this and leave the generator at home , maybe ....
 
I only used that length of cable because I had it ! You could use a shorter length . I did test it and it works fine, if the engine is running it should be getting 14 volts .
