Got out for a few hours over weekend. Still coming to terms with using my new nox600. Have a few before and afters ... all the pre decimals came from a small area that had recent beach works down...

Wow, nice score with the round 50c. Most of them were melted down as they contained more than 50c worth of silver when they were first circulated.

Not many of us have found the round 66 50 cent piece, congratulations on ticking it off your list.

The holey grail of Aussie 50c :Y:
well scored grampz

I used to have several fish food containers full of these. The plastic bottle was just the right diameter for the 50c coin and about 3" tall. I think I had three of them on the rafters under Mum's house but somebody knocked them off. Those times we didn't even lock the doors.

The 2 pennys came in as 1951s
Half penny 1948
X 2 tree pence 1950 & 1943 ( I think this was made in USA due to war).
So from ages I would guess that where all dropped around 1951 ish . A lot of sand had been moved about.
Was very surprised with the 50c. As hadnt seen one before.
