Hi all

Hi everyone,

Just joined today and I am real keen to get into metal detecting.
I am primarily interested in chasing beach coins (because I think it would be easier to get started with), with the ultimate goal of doing some extended gold detecting.

I have yet to get a detector, so I am looking for some good advice regarding a good entry level machine.
Preferably costing under $1K

Welcome Bruce. I recently purchased an Equinox 800. Never detected before and have found it to be a great all round machine and very beginner friendly. Would highly recommend it.
