The map legend is on the maps?
Should be on one side or at the bottom.
They are pretty basic.

That's what I thought!

Above is a screenshot of what I see. If you or someone else can point me in the right direction as to where the map legend is, I would appreciate it heaps!!

Ahh I see your problem now. Well not really a problem.
That's not a Doug Stone map, it's a Topographic Map of the area. These are much more detailed than Doug's maps but don't always show mines, alluvial gold diggings etc.

Thanks guys!

I'll share another screenshot in a moment. Mbasko you are right lol I shared the wrong map hehehe. Just starting, unfortunately those three dots don't take me to a legend.

Here is a small portion of Doug Stone's map:

I'm guessing that the little red dots are gold around the rivers, but that's a guess. I have no idea what the red lines mean.

When I click on the three dots, this is what comes up:

The red lines are the reefs that held payable gold and were mined the red dots are where they found alluvial gold and again mined these locations heavily if enough gold was found. In most cases you will find the alluvial gold fields (red dots) will be West of the main reefs that shed the gold causing it to become alluvial.

Usually just says on the map like this:

Not all of his maps show "nuggets found" either.
No use looking at those places though - they already found them :p

P.s. just be wary of the "Public Land" marked on the Stone maps. It may be Crown Land but could be under lease etc. so access isn't always a given. If it's under lease then it's pretty much the same as private property.
