This is my first attempt at making a sluice. It is an old socket set base that I cut the lid off of. Thanks to someone next door throwing it out 
then I used my two spare rubber car mats..my car had these underneath the carpet ones. As you can see it picked up the dirt in my pan. Only dirt as it was from my garden ha ha :lol: I was thinking of adding an insert to keep everything pressed down? :/
