The small bottle is perfect, which is a fluke I'm sure, it was not what I was expecting.
Didn't chip, gouge or break it. Anyone know what it would have been used for.

Thanks Goody, the ground was so hard, the buried bricks from the house built in the 1800's didn't help much either.
Makes a change from bottle tops & ring pulls. :D

Well....

Ladies and Gentlemen, Kato has just spent 3 solid days swinging her CTX3030.

Amongst her finds were 2x bucket list items....

1x King George III 1807 in great condition for its age

and nearby.....

1x Gold Gilted Naval button, suspected officers uniform button - late 1700's to early 1800's.

The HUGE thing is that these may be linked to a British expedition slightly pre-dating settlement in SA (1836).

More to come as she finds it.

( her hands were shaking as she showed me the coin )

:) :)

GreenRiver - some fantastic finds. The Nelson commemorative medal is my fav. Well done!

Thanks Detectist, need to do a bit more brushing. Have to get a refill for my Andres Pencil thingy.
