found this ages ago , it came home for the lead
found it today and realised it has markings , i have no idea !
matches for size comparison

you should do a paper/pencil trace over it to get a picture of the pattern!

my 1st thought is the face off a really old official seal stamp thingy .. the one they used to hit the hot wax seal with

i tried the pencil and paper but did not get a great result , will try some more to get it

And that might work today, if the tracing did not? And then coat the wax or whatever with a pigment, and transfer the image onto paper.

Sometimes just rubbing it over with flour or talcum powder will bring out the engraving to read it.
