Minelab Excalibur series tips, settings, questions

Just in the process of buying a new Excalibur II. Just wondering, how would this go on the mineralised grounds in the gold fields?

Mmmmmm, this is perfect for underwater use.....For gold field better off buying SDC-2300 or GPx series???? :goldpan: ickshovel: :goldnugget:

Hi I have bought a working blue Excalibur 1000 mk1 however the coil lead has breaks in the sheathing close to the coil and close to the control box. I am either going to rewire a coil in to the box or cut the coil cable and put a connector in, this does not worry me to much as i have found a number of you tube videos covering this. What I am struggling with is what coils are suitable, please I have a very limited budget for this machine.
Any advice would be helpful

Is it possible to replace the cable (plug in) or should I replace the coil i know this requires a bit of work.
if i replace the coils what will cross match to my machine, my budget is limited at the moment
