Hi Goody.

Much of the country I explore is overgrown which tends to suit the 2300. If the area is a little more open and the gold is deeper, the 5000 comes out. There is a lot more small stuff in my area which also pushes me towards the SDC. If I head out tomorrow for a couple of hours, the gpx will coming with me ( just for a change) Will swing the 12x8 Evo as the gold will most likely be sub gram ( if Im lucky enough to find some.)

Whisp, you crack me up. The area is located between S34 and S39 degrees and E147 and E152 degrees. It was next to a woollybutt tree and yellow flowering wattles.........

Cheers

Had a good trip to WA. Little chance to catch up on forum during trip. Shout out to Balmain/Hill End Bob for his hospitality and showing me around Leonora. Gold a bit light on, 11 ounces for trip. Nice spiderweb gold in ironstone, about 10 gram gold content

Hi Folks,

Took two of my daughters out for a swing for an hour or so. Decided to take the 5000 out for a play with the 12x8 Evolution strapped to the end of the stick. Was lucky enough to find a couple of little bits and have it caught on video. Sorry about some of the poor sound quality as I had headphones on. Should have thought to bring speakers along. The 12x8 loved these small targets. Its a good coil choice for the tight, overgrown areas that I tend to frequent. Hope you enjoy it.

Cheers

Hello folks,
Just home after a day and half at Rushworth with a nice little 1/4 gram nugget.

Looking at it's smooth surface you wouldn't think it was found on top of the hill. I find Rushworth a comfortable place to detect, plenty of lead of all shapes and sizes......keeps you on your toes, go low and slow and dig everything..you just don't know what will be left after the magnet cleans out the rusted iron. Still plenty left.
Cheers

Great job. Gets boring if you swinging for a bit with no signals. Was out this afternoon with number 2 son, only lead. But quality time. Its was great

i found them in a reef near Leonora, sounds like gold under the SDC 2300, nice smooth tone. Also weight of them are comparable like gold. Did someone find something similar and could lighten me up

Thanks and regards

Marc

Gday Marc. Sorry. Both lead. Easy way to tell. Under a blowtorch. It will melt in seconds

It's lead, definitely a projectile on the right and the other looks to be lead as well, lead will sound the same as gold. Congratulations on your earlier find by the way that's definitely a keeper :Y:
