I was just reading the latest Australian Gold Gem and Treasure magazine and came across an article on a Gemini. It looks like some sort of gold separating machine and that is what I can gather from the article. Can someone please explain these devices in more detail to me and how they work? Are they gravity fed and what is the principle behind them?

Yep pretty much a Gold shaking table variation. Works on gravity separation.
Feed material in with water, table shakes, heavies drop/separate out into table grooves, waste washes away.
Called either gemini table or gemeni table - vids of them working on YouTube.
Small 25kg/hr one = $17k  Not really something for the hobbyist - more small scale mine with good amounts of fine gold.

Gemeni are heaps better than Wifley

Fosterville had one last time i was there , they rock

only thing to understand is they are for fine gold under 1.5 - 2.0 mm so you have to class and split off the bigger stuff.
