Got out for a swing today in the wind and rain. There were a few sunny breaks and we had the beach huts for cover. A few coins around with the long stretching cuts. The ring was in a chunk of grassed area at the back of the huts, a real lucky ? find.

925 Silver

Found this within the first hour and lumped it in my backpack for a good 45 mins...

Feeling a little sore but also feeling satisfied.
Until next time happy detecting.
Cheers Gda and Abraham :Y:

Finally got some good weather here so got out with the two young ones, Abraham and Aaliyah.. Hit a nice deep target and ring a ding ding popped up.. But the treasure of the day was a little shy turtle, freshly hatched by the look of him/her?

Hoping to get out Saturday morning before the forecasted rain comes.
Until next time happy digging..
Cheers GDA :Y:

Got out today before the rain came and it poured down, 30 minutes after I get home Sunshine and not a cloud in sight... There were alot of deep targets, faint and scratchy so I left some of them preferring to dig the solid tones. I wish I had dug all of them now because most of them were coins, even managed to get a kinder surprise a sixpence caked with sand and peebles soaking in white vinegar.

Looking forward to my next adventure...

A rub with bicarb paste should get rid of most of that, looks like it was pretty new when lost, plenty of detail :Y:

Heya Dave, yup done bicarb... She was crusted with sand and grit, one of the worst I have come across, a little more TLC needed... :Y:

Well I got out today for an hour to a spot that produces goldies in the same area all of the time during summer and it didn't disappoint again... Surprise old ring find even though it is only bling.
The sixpence I had soaking is finally cleaned with an unrecognisable silver... :D
The update on the nox 600 is good but I will test it tonight on the low tide which is down to 0.1 metres, should be able to get out 30 or so metres from the beach low tide mark.

Until later tonight or tomorrow happy detecting.
Cheers Gda.. :Y: :D

I did get out last night and the tide was so far out I could literally go out as far as a football field is long.. But I stayed around 40 to 50 metres from shore..
The finds were slim but I managed another ring stainless steel but ring a ding ding.. The find of the night, well two of them... Shilling which is rare from this beach and the old piece of jewellery circa 1950-60...
Two hot days coming so I'll be out and about again..

Last night was alot of walking with the tide being low.. Wasn't much about in a usually good area of beach so I moved along a bit... Hit on a patch pulling in 5 and 10c coins so I concentrated on that area.
A couple of brown buggers and then a ring as ding ding... Stainless steel wedding band with cz stone 316L Chisel hallmarking.
It's rather warm today so I will more than likely head out tonight for another swing.

The nox likes finding rings but as of yet no Gold.. I may run a few tests with it and see if I can change it up a bit.
Until next time, happy detecting
