People seem to forget that you can grid an area with one type/model of detector find it all but then use another type of detector and find it all All Over again, It does not mean that one detector is better than another, It just means that one Tech see's things that others don't and vice versa, VLF's are a classic at this because Although they struggle in bad ground they will see 99% of the fine Gold PI's miss,

Neither machine be it ML or QED see's it all Which is why we own many different detectors, thumbsup

Goldchaser, stick to things that you know something about. (Whatever that may be)
It's painfully obvious that you know nothing about the QED, and little about gold.

Honesty and integrity,i know a little about that, now i work in one of oz’s largest gold mines, been prospecting for 22yrs,found a bit of gold including multi kg patches, just back with 4kg of speci’s (7000 and 45) off a virgin area last cuppla weeks and i had a qed, took about 2 days to know that i was wasting my time in wa with it,so ya right i know bugger all.....
Im upfront,so now tell us how the qed is “approaching 7000 performance” reg,as you state?
your turn......

Pictures pictures pictures, I Like Pictures Show me Pretty Nuggets gold-nugget gold-nugget gold-nugget gold-nugget gold-nugget heart inlove inlove inlove inlove inlove

Pic in the prospecting trips section RR,short vid to i think....
Amazing stuff Reg,how convenient,i’ll let ya be,i’ll go and work on my grammer if you work on your honesty and integrity, not cool trolling newbies on FB telling them to sell there 7000 for sales, over and out.....

Ridge Runner, I have returned home while James is camping out at another spot tonight. He is holding the gold and has posted a photo of a couple of bits on Detector Prospector forum and intends to post more when he recharges some batteries. He is not a member here so cannot post on this forum. I will see if we can put some pictures up when he calls in here in the next few days.

The QED PL2 is certainly capable of detecting to a decent depth. I dont have the experience to say what they can equal or better in performance but i would be interested to know of another machine equal in performance for the same money.

Goldchaser, 22 years you say? I started detecting in 79 and was a tester for Minelab from the mid eighties till the early nineties, so in comparison you are still wet behind the ears, and hardly in any position to lecture me about experience or integrity. I have been self employed and have had a number of working claims and leases, not having the need to be employed by some mining company. I have detected patches and nuggets that you could only dream about.
The fact that you had a QED and could not master it only proves the obvious. You are not the sharpest knife in the block.

Yeah i know what you are saying, just that sometimes with no off topic there is little or no posts. Id rather a little OT to read than nothing at all. At least the pics of Axel are in company of the QED and out in the field.

Actually If anyone is to Blame It is My Fault because It was me who first moved the focus to the QED and the Dog. Because the mood needed lightening as it was getting a bit personal between a couple of valued members, sad sad sad
