The archived maps are good for printing out specific areas but they are no longer maintained/updated by the NSW Forestry Corporation so there is potential for people to put themselves in an area they shouldn't be.
If you are using the archived maps always cross check them here:
https://fcnsw.maps.arcgis.com/apps/webappviewer/index.html?id=db08e563e1b6403fabde1ce901389fa2
The online arcGis map is the only NSW Forestry Corporation map now kept updated with:- current NSW State Forests, areas where fossicking is permitted under permit & fossicking exclusions (areas where fossicking is not permitted at all & NSW State Forest leasehold areas where permission of the leaseholder is required).

Mods, better remove thread as I wouldn't want the responsibility of potentially having someone fossick in areas that they shouldn't due to outdated(archived) maps (with details better than maintained current ones).

There's no need to delete the thread!
People just need to be aware when using archived/old maps that's all.
You can actually get pretty good details on the FCNSW ArcGIS maps if you play around a bit or just print the pdf files off & double check them + mark any changes.

When you first open the page you should see the map open & display the legend for exclusions etc.:

If you click on the "window" icon directly under Find in the search window on the LHS of the page it will bring up the Basemap Gallery:

Imagery, Topographic & FCNSW Basemap are the ones to use.

Back on the RHS of the page if you click on the far right layers tab you will see:

If you click on the 3 x dots icon next to "State Forest Fossicking Areas Under Permit" it will bring up a list of available adjustments:

You can select ''transparency'' here & adjust so as more detail shows through on the required area:

You can zoom in a bit more than I've shown here plus print off various areas by using Snipping Tool etc.
If you use GPS out in the paddock you can also cross reference & mark areas of interest in the permitted zone/s or exclusion zone boundaries etc.
