Newbie from Melbourne

Hi all,

I've been thinking about taking up some prospecting as an alternative to fishing - mostly something to do to get out and about in some fresh air and nice scenery. I have purchased a miners right and look forward to throwing myself in!

Now I just need to work out what to do and where to go! (i.e. if anyone has any advice for someone who is pretty clueless it would be much appreciated!)
